KAUAI, Hawaii (CBS19 NEWS) — A world-famous martial artist and actor has passed away following a medical emergency in Hawaii.
Chuck Norris’ family posted on his social media accounts that he passed away suddenly on Thursday morning.
“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family,” wrote his family. “He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.”
Known for iconic roles such as Walker, Texas Ranger, Missing in Action and Code of Silence, among many others, he was a martial arts champion and iconic action film star.
Norris reportedly suffered a medical emergency while training in Hawaii, according to TV Insider.
He had just turned 86 on March 10.
