The Sprouse Twins today: Inside their life now, at 30.

Dylan and Cole Sprouse understand the power of teamwork.
These charming identical twins, who won us over nearly 25 years ago with their delightful roles as the clever little boy in Big Daddy alongside Adam Sandler, have grown up. They are no longer children.
Now at the age of 30, Dylan and his younger brother Cole, who is just 15 minutes his junior, may not be as inseparable as they once were at the beginning of their careers, but their bond remains strong.

Born in 1992, the charming blond twins began sharing roles in commercials, television, and film when they were just 8 months old.
Similar to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who gained fame from Full House, identical twins are a valuable asset in Hollywood. This is largely due to child labor laws that limit the number of hours children can work.
For the Sprouse twins, having two of them was definitely an advantage.
Their first significant role came in the TV comedy series Grace Under Fire, where they portrayed the son of Brett Butler’s character, Grace Kelly, from 1993 to 1998. As they transitioned from infants to lively six-year-olds, the twins impressively shared the role of Patrick Kelly.
Tim Grey noted in Variety, “As Grace’s 8-month-old, it’s hard to say if Dylan and Cole Sprouse will become the next Olsen twins.”

In the comedy film Big Daddy (1999), they shone as Sandler’s adopted son, captivating audiences with their impeccable timing and playful performance in every scene.
In a 2022 interview with People, Cole shared his thoughts on Sandler, saying, “I might be a little biased since I’ve known him for so long, but I truly admire his career. He strikes a fantastic balance between art and commerce, which I believe is essential for a successful actor.” Cole added, “He navigates that balance beautifully while uplifting his friends, which I find remarkable.”
From 2000 to 2002, the dynamic duo of Cole and Dylan was momentarily separated when Cole took on a role in the popular TV show Friends. Portraying Ben, the young son of Ross Geller, played by David Schwimmer, Cole tackled this role solo, marking his first performance without Dylan.
Reflecting on his favorite episode of Friends, “The One with the Holiday Armadillo,” Cole reminisced, “I remember it vividly. I was really taken with the costumes and the practical effects they used.”

He also shared that his fascination extended beyond just the costumes. He had a significant crush on his co-star, who portrayed Rachel. In a conversation with TODAY, Cole mentioned, “I think I fell in love with Jennifer Aniston, just like everyone else did at that time. I do recall feeling quite nervous around her because of that. I remember forgetting my lines and experiencing a bit of stage fright when she sat beside me on the couch during one episode.”
In 2002, Cole and Dylan reunited, once again sharing the spotlight as the young Pistachio Disguisey in the movie Master of Disguise.
During this period, the boys began to cultivate their own distinct personalities, which would shape their future careers as individuals.

This was during the time when they portrayed Zach and Cody in The Suite Life of Zach & Cody, a Disney series that received an Emmy nomination and aired for three seasons beginning in 2005. After the show concluded, their characters made appearances in other Disney productions, including Hannah Montana featuring Miley Cyrus, as well as in their own film, The Suite Life Movie.
As teenage heartthrobs, they captivated young girls and saw their fame soar. However, staying grounded, the duo transitioned to the next chapter of their lives by enrolling at New York University, with Dylan focusing on video game design and Zack pursuing studies in humanities and archaeology.

I realized I needed to take a step back and gain some perspective. I craved a reality check and wanted to view myself more objectively. Now, I feel ready to truly enjoy [acting], which is such a crucial aspect of being an actor, Cole shared. He mentioned that working on the long-running Disney series made him feel like a machine. “I’m not saying we didn’t have fun during that time, but it was definitely work. It’s a career and a business that helped me get to college, which is one of the greatest gifts I could have received. But now, I’m excited to be [acting] on my own terms.”
After both graduating in 2015, Cole made his return to television, this time acting solo without his brother.
Their unique personalities are leading them on different paths, and as individuals, they are no longer sharing a single role.

Since 2017, Cole has taken on the role of Jughead Jones in Riverdale, a supernatural drama series inspired by characters from the Archie comic books.
He is currently in a relationship with French-Canadian model Ari Fournier, whom he met over two years ago.
On the other hand, Dylan is lending his voice to characters in video games and is engaged to Sports Illustrated model Barbara Palvin. Additionally, he co-founded All-Wise Meadery, a craft brewery located in Brooklyn, NY.

In a 2020 interview with US Weekly, Dylan mentioned, “I think it’s more probable that I’ll create something for us to collaborate on, rather than waiting for someone to come to us. Movies featuring twins rarely turn out well! That’s just a universal truth, in my opinion, and if we can discover the right project, then absolutely.”
It’s astonishing to think how many years have gone by since we first enjoyed the charming Sprouse twins in Big Daddy! They have both accomplished remarkable feats both within and outside of Hollywood, and we’re excited to see what they will take on next.
